Partition designs for home from Albert Wisdom

Whether you've got an open floorplan or would like to create private, cosy spaces in your home the right room divider can make all the difference. The photographs in this post use everything from shrubbery to nautical rope to drapes to create spaces that are beautiful, unique and instead go well beyond a folding screen.
Using indoor plants is a beautiful and particularly creative treatment for the room divider issue. These vines climb up ropes to make an indoor jungle that also separates spaces.

In this modern office space, the region divides with tall spiky greenery appearing from the rear of a low modern couch.

Naturally, there are also those times that intricacy wins out over simplicity, like in the finely carved wood partition.

Decidedly mod, almost like a martini olive, this room divider is without devolving into kitsch awesome and fun.

Glass partitions
In this urban space, the kitchen itself acts as a central divider.

This marble wall that is low conceals an office space and also functions as a mount to get a flatscreen.

Taking the partition to another level, this unique en suite doesn't have a whole wall separating the bedroom from the bath, instead using frosted glass.

An even more perpendicular alternative, with built-in planters this wall is part room divider, part garden.

This plant divider is a little more opaque and demands regular trimming (along with water) to keep its sleek shape.
